OS and Web Services Technician - (Albany) in Albany, Georgia For Sale

Technica LLC is recruiting for an OS and Web Services Technician to work on a Government contract in Albany, GA. This position will provide web systems management of Oracle Fusion Middleware and similar web platforms. The position will support the following operating systems and network components including, but not limited to: Oracle Solaris, IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler, Cabling and Keyboard Video Mouse (KVM). This position will support the following server-based hardware including but not limited to: Sun Fire V, E, B, X and T Models. Specific duties include: Installing and upgrading network monitoring tools, software, and agents. Monitoring network performance, where applicable and make recommendations to maintain configuration to improve performance. Completing documentation in support of ensuring network connectivity. Providing recommendations to Federal Government support staff in network design, implementation and sustainment for legacy systems. Integrating web services, operating systems, application software, DBMS(s), business applications, monitor agents, risk mitigation agents, backup/recovery agents, network devices and storage devices. Performing all levels of analysis (simple to complex) of operating systems, business applications, monitoring agents, risk mitigation agents, backup/recovery agents, network devices and storage devices as well as assisting and testing Disaster Recovery (DR) and Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP) and special projects. Performing and analyzing operating system error messages / alert logs daily from the start of normal business hours and implementing corrective actions to resolve issues. Interpreting error codes generated by log and system files from DBMS(s), operating systems, business applications, monitoring agents, risk mitigation agents, backup/recovery agents, network devices and storage devices. Recommending and implementing hardware, software, database or network solutions to resolve problems. Evaluating indicators from hardware or network devices and consistently implement a permanent resolution. Analyzing file systems and storage zones to resolve issues. Creating/Maintaining/Updating/Closing Incidents to coordinate incident resolution with the LOGCOM C4 or MDMC Service Desks via a Service Desk or Project Management solution such as Altiris or Remedy. Requirements: Minimum of three (3) years of experience. Unix and/or Linus certification or a minim of three (3) year course of study in a relevant field leading to a bachelor's degree, or a combination of successfully completed post-high school education and/or training experiences that meet the total qualification requirements for this position level. Must be able to demonstrate accomplishments of Web & OS Management project assignments that required a broad range of knowledge of operating systems management and techniques.
